To fulfill the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission, carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all, in total obedience to His word, through evangelism and discipleship coupled with a strong understanding of and compassion for each person’s needs. All Glory to God in all we do.
We seek to partner with individuals and churches to engage in planting new churches, organizing revivals and orphan outreaches, distributing bibles, and holding medial camps & partnerships with local medical personnel, all the while carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout eastern Africa.
We partner with local churches, communities, and
individual families seeking to discover, implement, and maintain programs aimed at reducing poverty and disease. To work with educators and schools to enhance and strengthen young children’s ability to seek and receive a sustainable Christian education. We believe in long term solutions, rather than short term relief, that can come from within each of us as individuals when we work together, all in God’s name.
Mungu ni mwema... God is good!
Utukugu wote kwa Mungu... All glory to God!
Harold Pearce
Born in Dallas, TX, Harold became a professional sound engineer
after graduating from UNT. Later, he focused the skills he learned
while working on the big stage to the IT world. Here, he found himself submerged in the high-paced atmosphere of the medical field. He quickly discovered the challenges faced by medical staff and realized his own compassion for those in need. After many years working with local agencies and churches to help the homeless, chemically dependent and MR patients; he began to feel led to mission work in Africa.
Harold is a treasured asset to our organization. Through his deep
love of Jesus Christ, today he works to develop evangelical teams, organize revivals, orphan outreaches, & medical missions while helping to plant churches and maintain a bible distribution program throughout Kenya and Northern Tanzania.
We recognize that it is by God's grace that HAEA is able to work in
Eastern Africa providing care, and by His Will that our work is made meaningful.
Michelle Pearce, MSN, RNC-NIC
Born in Arlington, TX, Michelle graduated from UNT and worked with mentally ill adults and children for many years. She discovered the importance of a wraparound model when effectively treating patients and in turn, reducing hospital recidivism. So, rather than simply treating a patient, the medical team seeks to provide education/skills training, medications, individualized treatment plans, provides follow-up care and links the patient to community resources all to improve the patient's treatment adherence.
After much prayer, Michelle began to feel led to nursing, so she returned back to school and received her nursing license. During nursing school, Michelle was afforded the opportunity to go to Peru on a medical mission trip and it was here that she realized her passion. She has since felt led to Africa and works in recruitment and application of efficient medical practices to the planning and implementation of medical missions.
Michelle currently works as a RN in the NICU at a major Texas hospital and is currently working towards her PhD in Nursing Science.
Dr. Becky Abuor
A native of Kenya, Becky was drawn to the medical field by her passion for healing patients both physically and psychologically.
She observed the government funded hospitals of her hometown reducing costs due to federal budget cuts. These cuts forced local hospitals to take monies originally spent on staff training, common medications, and medical equipment/supplies and re-purpose it to cover administrative operations. The locals were forced to subsidize these costs before medical care could be provided to them.
In an effort to relieve the burden created by the healthcare climate in Kenya, Becky created a non-profit organization, Afya Health Systems, a hospital providing emergency/urgent care, diagnostics, surgery, L&D, HIV treatment, and free annual screenings. She and her husband work tirelessly to serve the people in and around the lake region of Nyanza in Homa Bay, Kenya since February 2012.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet goals and to continue to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
